Presidents Pointe
Resource worked with Stanley Martin to create a mixed use community while connecting two major roads in the Ranson area. As part of the design, utilities along the entrance from Flowing Springs Road were relocated. Other utility services in the development area were re-routed or designed for a connection in another location.
Since the spine road through the project was so straight and long, two roundabouts were strategically located to interrupt the potential for higher speeds. The pavement of the roundabouts was textured and street lighting was installed to increase pedestrian safety. Curb “bumpouts” and median cuts were designed for additional safety features. Landscape trees were designed to enhance the road and neighborhood.
